I have accumulated many personal reviews while listening to albums. My reviewing style is non-conventional and was only intended for myself. Sometimes I will only use one sentence to describe an album if I feel that is all that's required. Other times I will review an album while I'm still listening to it, leading to a song-by-song review of the album (bringing the size of the review to nearly dissertation-level). There are times when I will even come back to a review to add information that I didn't know when originally writing the review. The point is that I won't edit my reviews to make them more readable or conventional. My reviews are always a direct result of what I was feeling when I wrote them and I want to let that feeling come through.

LuLu - 毒 [2008.07.23]

Very punky start, but with a hint of progressive metal. Interesting keys. "白濁妄想テリトリー" has even more of a punk feel and the chorus is as infectious as Ebola. This is much better overall. The vocals are still awkward, but I'm starting to get used to them. The music is pretty catchy most of the time. The production has quite a long way to go, but it's not unlistenable. Wow, they have a karaoke version of the first track...

LuLu - Dr.ステルベン [2008.04.23]

So, I've gone back in time after fucking up the sequence of these albums. "精神鎮痛剤" was re-recorded on a later album, and now I can say that I prefer the original more. This album is a blend of punk, j-rock, and background keyboards. I'm actually liking the keys. Not that good of an album overall, though.

LuLu - 薬 [2008]

Bad news, sports-fans, LuLu sold out. Now it's just more rock. The vox are slightly improved, but they are still grating. Very disappointing that they have gone this route. It's completely stock shit, too, and not even catchy.

LuLu - 第零集中治療室 [2007]

Well, there's good and bad on this one. The good is that it's still punky and catchy. The bad is that the vox are a bit more towards the strange style of the first album, but it's still not quite as annoying.

LuLu - 現実不感症 [2006]

Well, let's see if the vox have improved. Definitely has better vox. Songs are catchy with a lot of punk influence as well as standard J-Rock.

LuLu - 精神鎮痛剤 [2006]

Strange vocals, but not too distracting. First track is pretty heavy and punky sound. Production is fairly heavy and the guitars are distorted well. Second track is much slower with some pretty cool orchestra/key parts. Okay, by the end of the single, I'm starting to get a bit annoyed by the vox.
