I have accumulated many personal reviews while listening to albums. My reviewing style is non-conventional and was only intended for myself. Sometimes I will only use one sentence to describe an album if I feel that is all that's required. Other times I will review an album while I'm still listening to it, leading to a song-by-song review of the album (bringing the size of the review to nearly dissertation-level). There are times when I will even come back to a review to add information that I didn't know when originally writing the review. The point is that I won't edit my reviews to make them more readable or conventional. My reviews are always a direct result of what I was feeling when I wrote them and I want to let that feeling come through.

The Haunted - The Haunted Made Me Do It [2000]

Nice new production; it's a bit heavier and more clear. After the really cool intro track and "Bury Your Dead", things begin to deteriorate. The songwriting isn't as catchy or spirited as the previous album was.

The Haunted - The Haunted [1998]

As stock as this style has become over the years, I truly miss the melodic thrash from this era because it had an energy and soul that the new shit just doesn't fucking have anymore. Sure, it's nothing new, but it's catchy and has some kick. There are only a couple fillers throughout the album. The rest are all well-written, energetic, catchy, and heavy. However, there's very little variation between the songs. So, towards the end it feels a bit repetitive.

The Haunted - One Kill Wonder [2003]

Really heavy and thrashy. Great songwriting that's catchy and energetic. There's only one or two songs that drag a bit on the CDs energy. Not all that creative, but still damn good. The production still stands out as one of the heaviest I've ever heard.

The Haunted - Versus [2008]

Very heavy album, but it really drags at a lot of parts. The songs towards the end of the CD really fucking suck nuts.

The Haunted - The Dead Eye [2006]

Mediocre. Not as much thrashing energy as I was hoping for. However, they at least are mixing up the songs more with clean-guitar sections. Props for incorporating some creativity on this CD. "Shifter" is a very promising song. "The Program" is a pretty different song for them (no vocals).
