I have accumulated many personal reviews while listening to albums. My reviewing style is non-conventional and was only intended for myself. Sometimes I will only use one sentence to describe an album if I feel that is all that's required. Other times I will review an album while I'm still listening to it, leading to a song-by-song review of the album (bringing the size of the review to nearly dissertation-level). There are times when I will even come back to a review to add information that I didn't know when originally writing the review. The point is that I won't edit my reviews to make them more readable or conventional. My reviews are always a direct result of what I was feeling when I wrote them and I want to let that feeling come through.

Shadow - Forever Chaos [2008]

Whoa, props to Tokiko for performing awesome Death Metal vocals! It's lost a bit of the classical structure that I liked so much from the first album. However, the guitar riffs are 1000 times more complex now. Way more technical guitaring that almost makes me happy that I haven't tried out for the guitarist position. The solos are just as insane as ever… fuck. However, it's definitely not breaking down any boundaries.

Shadow - Shadow [2001]

Fucking amazing songwriting from start to finish. Probably the only Melodic Metal band that I can highly praise. Tokiko Shimamoto is fucking flawless on the vox. The guitar work is melodic, but the song writing has a classical vibe to it (probably due to the chord structures used). The solos are talented enough to make me want to commit seppuku. The album does feel a little bit repetitive, but it's not enough to be distracting at all.
