Well, they poured all of their focus into one song and it shows. However, it's fucking Soilwork + Emo + 1 small section of Prog Rock. So it's just as contrived and derivative as ever, and I just can't respect that. They are really interested in only one thing: copying what's popular in American "Something Core" (I can't bare to call it Metal) scene... That said, it is pretty catchy, but it fucking should be since all the shit they copied it from was also catchy.

DELUHI - Frontier [2010.06.16]
Promising riff, but then right into melodic metal. It's fairly contrived, and I'm kind of sick of the copy-cat attitude that they've been taking on the last 5 disks. Though, if I'm in the right mood, it can be catchy.

DELUHI - The farthest [2010.07.14]
Haven't started, but I'm going to assume this will be more of the same from Frontier, but perhaps they'll copy some newer style that we've done in America. So, more Metalcore with just a dash of Progressive Metal. Now they've been looking at either Dream Theater or Between the Buried and Me with light bulbs going on over their heads, an index finger pointed up, and a truncated "あ!!". "Departure" starts off so nicely and really makes me think that all will be well with this song, but then the fucking verse kicks in and ruins everything. This album is so goddamn thick with auto-tune that I think I'm going to fucking puke. I get the feeling that this band will never again go above a 6.5.

DELUHI - ユグドアライヴ -Yggdalive- [2009.11.04]
Impressive beginning track that shows off the more electronic side of DELUHI. However, "G.A.L.D" ends up feeling like the US's Pop Metal/Metalcore filth with the goddamn awful auto-tune vocals. "Revolver Blast" is much better and feels more like a proper Heavy/Thrash Metal song. They've jumped on the bandwagon by adding blasting sections. "Flow Snow" shows that DELUHI has been looking at Soilwork with envious eyes. Many of the verses and chorus' retain their Japanese rock identity. This album definitely has better structure, better writing, more soul, and higher energy than JAGANNATH, but it's all very clearly derivative and designed to sell.

DELUHI - JAGANNATH [2008.12.31]
Starts off with a breakdown riff, the pain of which is eased by the nifty keys and effects. It's pretty obvious now that DELUHI have been taking a few pages from the chapter of one of Soilwork's "books" for most of the last few albums. However, even that can't really make me feel better about the first song after the fourth time a breakdown is played. It's really holding the song back a lot. "RebelSicks, ShadowSix" is quite flat. Looks like their running out of new ways to write the same song.

DELUHI - Mahadeva [2008.11.26]
This one has the most American quality to it to date. The guitaring is much more furious than previous albums. "Hybrid Truth" is a cross between the Melodic Thrash and Hardcore genres while "Ivory and Irony" brings the Japanese Rock into the mix. However, unlike many of their previous singles, the second track is actually good enough to listen to multiple times. Once again, it's mostly stock stuff from an American perspective, and like before, the songwriting is very well-done, catchy, and mature.

DELUHI - Surveillance [2008.03.26]
Not what I was expecting for an intro. Definitely more Metal than their later stuff. Production isn't as good, though (to be expected). Certainly more creative than their later stuff as well.

DELUHI - Visvasrit [2008.10]
Very catchy, even more so than OOA. Slightly less heavy production than OOA, but more than enough to achieve the proper effect. It's also a bit more geared for pop culture, but not so much that it feels like a sell-out. The songwriting has improved ten-fold. This is quite different from most Japanese metal bands… it's got much more of an American sensibility to it.

DELUHI - Orion Once Again [2008.7]
Wow, great production quality. Hits you in the face. Thrash metal with melodic choruses. It's a bit of a stock style (for the U.S., at least), but it's pretty damn well done. Catchy songwriting. They're not lighting the world on fire with anything new, but it's still well-done and good songwriting. A pleasant surprise.
